The Scotland County Board of Health invites all residents to connect with Scotland County by participating in the governing process. The Board welcomes public comment and looks forward to hearing from you!

Towards the beginning of every regular meeting, there is a section of the agenda called Public Appearance that provides time for the public to address the Board on subjects not appearing on the agenda.  The public may also address specific agenda items at the time the Board discusses them. Speakers will be given up to three (3) minutes each to speak.

The Board reserves the rights to alter the rules on a case by case basis as necessary for the efficient and effective product of business. All information provided on this form is subject to the NC Public Records Law (NCGS § 132) and may be released upon request.

Special Notice: Due to the pandemic, the meetings have been relocated to the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) to allow proper social distancing under Phase 3 guidelines. The meetings can allow up to five (5) attendees. Members of the public may access and view the meetings on Scotland County's YouTube channel at 6:30 p.m.

Requirements to Speak to the Board: Speakers requesting to address the board must do so by 12:00 p.m. of the day of the scheduled meeting. If you are wanting to address the board in person, this will be accommodated on a first come first serve basis up to a maximum of five (5) attendees.

Please note: While conducting remote meetings, the Board is unable to hear from groups of speakers.  If you register as a group, each speaker of a group will be called upon separately and receive up to three (3) minutes each.
